Real-Time Universal Robots Data Logging
We built a compact data collection system for Universal Robots, designed for seamless integration into industrial environments – and running on hardware as small as a Raspberry Pi 5.
- Data source: the official UR RTDE protocol – joint currents, temperatures, states, and diagnostics in real time
- Storage: InfluxDB, optimized for high-frequency time-series data
- Deployment: compact edge hardware that fits in the cell
The point of the demo: robot data collection does not require expensive proprietary infrastructure. With the right engineering, the data your robots already generate becomes available for dashboards, condition monitoring, and analytics – at minimal hardware cost.
